Obstetric ultrasound at the centre is aimed at providing the highest quality ultrasound images and diagnosis to provide good management in obstetrics one of means of achieving this is by providing specific information during the three main stages (trimesters) of pregnancy. Obstetric ultrasound at the clinic is performed by experience experts in the field of ultrasonography. The Centre is headed by Helen Alleyne who has had over 20 years experience in the field of ultrasonography and has received extensive training in ultrasonography in the USA as well as the United Kingdom. Mrs Alleyne has presented several papers locally and regionally on ultrasound in obstetrics as well as other areas of ultrasound. She holds a masters degree in ultrasound from Kings College London. Also involved in obstetrical ultrasound at the Centre is Dr Stanley Marcus a medical doctor who holds a Master’s degree in ultrasound from Anglia Ruskin University UK. Centre provides practical training for the College of Ultrasound Science which
offer a 3 month Master Class training programme for doctors who aim to improve
or obtain necessary ultrasound skills as well as one year part time programme
in Obstetric Ultrasound. Other ultrasound courses are presently in
the planning stages. Pharmacy The Arima Diagnostic Clinic provides an onsite Pharmacy for filling of prescriptions, over the counter medications and other medical items. Trinidad News
